EyeOpenerWorks designed and facilitated a peer monitoring process for the food security and agricultural development projects of the Netherlands Embassy in Uganda. The process aimed at exchange, interaction and joint reflection between the different Dutch-funded projects. During the PM process, the projects were invited to connect with each other and EKN representatives, learn and benefit from each other’s experiences and practices, and enhance their implementation through joint reflection and development of strategies.
Results
- Co-creation workshop for representatives of Embassy and 5 Food Security projects.
- One week field visit in Elgon Region – representatives EKN and 5 Food Security projects.
- One week field visit in Kigezi Region – representatives EKN and 8 Food Security projects.
- Exchange and follow-ups defined on topics like: PIP approach; Strengthening cooperatives and SACCOs; Market Development; Collaboration with Local Government; Agro-financing and agro-insurance; Power relations; Grant strategies; Implementation challenges.
