The Women’s Economic Leadership and Empowerment in ASEAN (WEL in ASEAN) project was implemented by Oxfam and International Women’s Rights Action Watch – Asia Pacific (IWRAW-AP) and strengthened the capacity of Women’s Rights Organizations to be able to influence laws and policies for women’s economic leadership and empowerment in the formal and informal sectors in in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
EyeOpenerWorks supported OXFAM, IWRAW-AP and partners to reflect on the lessons learnt and key achievements of the WEL in ASEAN project by facilitating a 2-day Learning Workshop, editing of a ‘Stories of Change’ booklet and a short video about the WEL in ASEAN successes.
